Why do we call it The DiamondLess Ranch?
In January of 2003, my husband and I looked at a piece of water front property on Chocolate Bayou, outside of Alvin (south of Houston), Texas, and fell in love with it. A few days later, we were having dinner with my sister, Cynthia, and our nephew, Collin. Halfway through the meal my sister said, "Ooh - ooh! You haven't seen what Kevin gave me for Christmas!" She showed us a beautiful pair of diamond earrings and matching necklace that my brother-in-law had given her. My husband quipped, "Babe, if we buy this place, you might as well call it the DiamondLess Ranch because we'll be spending all of our money on it and you won't be getting any more diamonds." Well, here we are, and he (as usual) was right!
